Netflix is a pretty neat company, they keep track of some cool statistics. For example, did you know that Netflix has over 3 billion ratings on movies? Almost 4 million ratings are made by users DAILY. This just means you are getting movies that are perfectly catered toward your preferences. Every day people are rating movies, the database gets more intelligent.
Environment!
A neat fact for all of us green people out there; If all Netflix members drove to a movie store and back for their movies, more then 800,000 gallons of gas would be used yearly. This would also generate over 2.2 million (2,200,000) TONS of carbon dioxide for the atmosphere. That’s never good, right?
Volume!
Netflix ships so many DVDs daily, about 2 million daily, that if you stacked all of those into a single pile, the stack would reach the height of Mount Everest in just under a week.

Netflix is such a great program, that over 90% of it’s members say they would suggest the program to their family and friends.

Every day, Netflix ships over 56,000 unique DVDs. This is almost 20x the size of the average video store, which typically have around 3,000 movies.
